Interpreting my Update History list

Hi,

I've been updating things on IMDB on and off for a few years now, but I recently went on a bit of a update binge to fix some episode listings of TV shows and while some of my changes were approved others haven't been. Now my question isn't about why things may have been rejected, more that I can't tell what happened to them nor if they were infact rejected or just in a queue.

A few examples:

There's a show that has several duplicate episodes listed, one in English and one in French. As the show is a British production (and the rest of the episodes are listed under the English title) I requested the French episode gets merged with the English one. I came to check on my updates today and clicked on one of the and the form has the episodes original title (the French title) in the box making it look like I've requested no title change only the number episode number change. The box is still Green. Any idea why the title change would have occurred and is there any way to tell if this change was rejected or lost in the ether?

Next, a show had a long hiatus between seasons, even using a different subtitle upon returning. However the productions are considered to be the same. The series that started in 1981 has some of the episodes that began under later seasons and it has the aka information for the subtitle addition from 2008. Issue is someone also listed the newer episodes as a separate show, duplicating episodes. I found a help page that said all episodes need to be moved to the correct listing before I can request merging the shows. So I made all the requests to change the episodes from the 2008 entry to the 1981 entry updating the season/episode number changes. The issue is the episode numbers were changed but not the show. Again, I can't tell if this was just the first step before changing the show or if the admin mis-read my request. The 2008 show now has a bunch of episodes listed from season 6 with none 1-5. Again, how can i tell if this is considered closed by the admins or should I wait longer before requesting again? On my update history the entry for these changes now have a white box.

Lastly, there's another show that incorrectly lists segments of a show as individual episodes. The shows episodes aired two 11 minute segments in 1 episode (see Spongebob if you don't understand what I mean). I requested several episodes to be merged with title changes to reflect the dual segment name. All these changes now have a white box when i click their update history link but nothing changed. How do I tell what is going on with them.

It would be great if every update had a Track button then I'd be able to tell instantly. As it is I'm left confused about what's happened/happening and I don't want to resend anything an duplicate work for the admins. Any help clarifying things would be very welcome.

Sorry for the long winded post.

Thanks

I think the episode edits could still be processing even when you see a partial change.

Since there is no tracking feature for title corrections or episode title/number edits, the only way to tell whether edits may still be pending is to look at processing times. Currently the oldest unprocessed item for Title Merges is from 21 March (which presumably includes episode merges), and for other title edits ('Title Core') 27 March. If your edits are not older than that, I would suggest waiting.
