Information Declined for "Collateral"

With as much as I am on this website reading up on my favorite movies and TV shows, I thought it would be a lot of fun to contribute.  I tried to correct some wrong information on "Collateral" where someone posted that Vincent failed to reload his gun on the train because he didn't get a clip from the guard he took the gun from.  In fact, he DID try to reload with an extra clip, but blood loss began to affect him and he dropped it.  They made a point to show this in the scene.  However, this info was declined for some reason.

In addition, I tried to add some trivia that one of Felix's henchmen was played by Luis Moncada... now famous as one of the cousins in the hugely popular "Breaking Bad."  That was apparently unverifiable.  Really?  They can't look up the cast of Breaking Bad and see this?

Ironically, a previous entry I added to Dean Norris' IMDB page was cleared, although it wouldn't be known unless you know Mr. Norris personally or heard the one particular interview where it was discussed.

So who does this so-called "verification?"

Hi, SenecaHighlander. What is the 18-digit reference number of submission of yours containing the declined goof correction? (Check https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history please if you're not sure where to find this information.)

Hi...
There are a few of them since I tried to resubmit them, but the last one is 221231-194401-006000. Part of the explanation is that it's exactly the same, which it is not... although I used the first half of the original entry.

There is also an entry where I stated that the gun Max takes from the police officer after rolling his cab turned from a Beretta into a Glock, as well as tying Collateral to Breaking Bad via the actor Luis Moncada.

For things that you know to be correct, please don't ever re-submit them, unless the IMDb staff expressly instructs you do exactly such. n lieu, please come here to chase down an explanation and remember to identify the specific submissions by the unique set of numbers assigned to them.

Your advice contradicts IMDb's guidelines on rejected contributions and many of the general suggestions given in rejection reasons.

If you feel your rejected submission should have been accepted (and you have verified that it is not already listed in IMDb), you are welcome to resubmit it from your contribution history ...

O, Peter, am I to suppose that contributors ought to keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result? Also, technically, in order to actually re-submit, a contributor has to wait fourteen days (or perhaps seven days nowadays). The information found in the IMDb Help Center cannot be taken as the gospel. I've stated this many times, since 2017. The only thing that means truly anything is the practical and utilitarian way the IMDb staff reacts to actual events.

There is quite a way between not resubmitting the same thing over and over without changes or new evidence and "don't ever re-submit".

One day, if using the update history.

Hi SenecaHighlander-

I have done some further investigation on these trivia submissions, I can see that all the ones you resubmitted have already been approved and I just finished checking the recent one you have re-submitted which I have approved as well.

The changes for these trivia items are already live on the site for Collateral (2004).

Cheers!
