Incorrect full names in Soviet films

In the film credits the name was not indicated in full, but in the short format Е.Любинский. I know his full name Ефим Любинский. When transliterated according to imdb rules, it turns out E.Lyubinskiy and Efim Lyubinskiy. And he already has a profile. But on the Full Cast & Crew film page I see this:Evgeniy Lyubinskiy ... assistant camera (as E. Lyubinskiy) / still photographer (as E. Lyubinskiy)Ye. Lyubinskiy ... assistant camera / still photographer Two profiles with only one film indicated. With different transliterations. And one of them has the wrong full name. This is not an isolated case in Soviet films.А.Симонов (Анастасий Симонов)  turned into Avtor Simonov, but should be Anastasiy Simonov.https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2861584/ https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2850984/ E. Fishkina turned into Elena Fishkina. I was unable to confirm or deny the full name, but based on the above cases, I doubt that it is correct.https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7874909/ https://www.imdb.com/name/nm16692007/ This leads to the following questions1 Where do these incorrect full names come from? Looks like a random name in an attempt to guess.2 What is the best way to act in cases where it is known for sure that one of the already specified duplicates has an incorrect full name (for example, E.Lyubinskiy). Should all profiles be merged? But when merging, the incorrect full name will be added to the alternative names. Or should the roles be moved to the correct profile?3 What is the best action when profiles are duplicated but the full name cannot be confirmed?

Hi Bofr- Thank you for posting these information! To answer your questions:  1. The information in IMDb comes from various sources. Most of it is either researched by our staff or submitted by our users. For more information, please visit this link: https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/how-do-you-get-your-information-on-imdb/GGD7NGF5X3ECFKNN?ref_=helpcs_c 2 & 3. In these cases, it is the preference that the duplicated pages be merged. As per our following Help Guides, Merging a name and How to combine two IMDb name pages? (specially on question #3), our general rule is  you'll need to determine which name is correct or should remain, or which is to be the "primary name" -- usually the name used most often when credited... You will have the option when merging to uncheck the box of "Preserve previous name on existing credits" to not retain the other name on the credit(s). In any case as well, after the merge you can send a correction request.  Hope this helps! Cheers!
