Incorrect Alternate Name (Which can not be changed due to lock)

Someone has attributed an alternative name for me  in my personal details that is incorrect to accredit my entire body of work to someone else? When I try to correct this I am told that the area is locked and migrating to another format... How do I keep this miscredit that attributes my career to someone else from being transferred to a new media format? It's professionally damaging.

It appears that you have an alternate name not because someone added it as such, but because you were in Not Another B Movie (2010) and listed on screen as Maxwell Drake. This is shown by the (as Maxwell Drake) attribute in the IMDb credit. This attribute automatically creates that aka so that someone who searches for that on-screen name will find it.

If you were in that film and were listed on screen that way, then the entry is correct, and should not be removed.

No-one is trying to attribute your career to somebody else; IMDb is just making sure that the on-screen credits are properly reflected in the database.

I was in "Not Another B Movie" with someone in the crew who apparently has that name... it is a miscredit which I have also tried to have corrected to no avail. I've checked the credits of the film and they are not listed this way... its an imdb error... this circular IMDB self-referencing "automated attributation" is perpetuating an error... please fix it, or tell me how to address it. As it stands my page (ie professional career) is being linked and credited to someone else.

Best way is to paste the reference number of your submission in here and then include a screenshot of your name in the credits (click the camera symbol below the reply box). That should be enough to help resolve this.
