Inacurate Release Date On Feature Film Still In POST-PRODUCTION - Contribution #220318-173735-719000
I'm the lead producer on the feature film MISCHIEF UPON MISCHIEF and someone is submitting inacurate RELEASE DATE information to our page. Our film is still in POST-PRODUCTION. I have recently submitted two contributions to correct the false information that was accepted on our page, only to be met with a DECLINE response of - "NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE." When in fact there is no distributor in place, and the film isn't finished. If I'm provided a method to present more evidence, I'm more than happy to send over whatever is required to have our page accurately reflect our film's stage of production. We went into PRE-PRODUCTION in 2017. And now we're currently still in POST-PRODUCTION. Our workflow & VFX pipeline has experienced several challenging difficulties and delays due to the C-19 Pandemic issues that have affected our team, globally. Our film has not yet been RELEASED, and I can confirm that as Ken Gamble (Director/Writer) and I are working on it every day. The FILM is ALMOST completed and we will be shopping for potential DISTRIBUTION partners in the coming months. It is absolutely CRUCIAL - if not, ESSENTIAL, that any potential BUYERS can check IMDb and see that our film has NOT YET BEEN RELEASED. So PLEASE change the STATUS of our production back to POST-PRODUCTION. This ERROR will seriously hurt and disrupt our chances for securing distribution for the film. If someone on the IMDB team would please address and correct this issue immediately it would be greatly appreciated, as years of hard work, dedication, and finances are in severe jeopardy. Thank you so much for your time and attention. All my best!!

I think it's clear it's just a random date entered by someone randomly without any evidence at all. Some links for staff from November 2017 which indicates filming just begins: https://www.idahostatesman.com/news/local/community/boise/article182557641.html https://www.krem.com/article/news/local/kootenai-county/idaho-natives-to-film-sci-fi-thriller-in-parts-of-n-idaho/293-489131821 https://www.instagram.com/p/BbIGNp2FZi2/ "day one of filming" post from november 2017 https://www.instagram.com/p/BbKO381Fc3f/ day two and goes on.. So 1 January 2017 release date really doesn't look possible. Even the "1 January" part indicates it was typed randomly.
