IMDb won't remove erroneous film credit attributed to me
Re: Contribution I.D. #210924-204909-178000
Here's the dilemma. I am Jay Jennings (I), a film director in Los Angeles, California and it was brought to my attention, that this video news story (not a film), Reading, Writing and Race (2004) which was broadcast on WRAL TV News in Raleigh, North Carolina is erroneously credited to me on my IMDb page as a "film" and I am credited as being the director on that video's IMDb page. Both are false. The video being attributed to me was a news story on a TV News station, photographed (not directed, mind you) by another Jay Jennings. The first giveaway of being an error is that I am a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and the "news story" is from Raleigh, North Carolina. Whomever originally submitted this news story as one of my films, failed to check for other Jay Jennings' listed in the IMDb, to which they could've added a Roman numeral after the new Jay Jennings' name (i.e., II, III, etc), so as not to confuse it with mine, but instead this "news story" was carelessly attributed to me and my IMDb page. I tried submitting this removal from my profile page and their "video" page three times and every time, IMDb denied to do so due to lack of evidence, even though a) I told them it wasn't my film and b) I provided the link to the news station and video in North Carolina that shows it as a news story, photographed by someone with my same name, and NOT directed by me. I direct films, and this is a "news story". Doesn't anyone at IMDb bother to check the link and put two and two together? In any event, I am reaching out here to have this erroneous "video" removed from my "film" credits and to have my name/link to my IMDb page removed as "director" on their IMDb page. I've attached a screenshot of the news station website and video. It is not a "film" and the photographer of the video is also named Jay Jennings, but he's not a "director", plus it's not me. He's just the guy who shot/photographed this news story, yet for some some stupid reason, it has been credited as my film on my IMDb page and I've been credited as director on their video's IMDb page.
