Solved

IMDb will not correct/delete an incorrect and fictitious listing I created for my own show.

A few years ago I made an IMDb account and made a fake episode for a show I was putting together.

At the time I was seeing what I could put on IMDb and get away with.

Presently, the show is more professional with legit episodes waiting to be released.

Before I release these official episodes I want to get rid of the fake and incorrect episode I made.

It damages my show credibility as well as my brand.

I have reached out to IMDb multiple times to which I get automated replies with one of them saying they believe the listing to be correct and factual and in accordance with IMDb policy.

This can't be farther from the truth as the listing was purely fictitious in it's creation.

I know this because I am the one who created the listing with this same account that I emailed them with.

There was never an episode produced.

How can I get this episode removed?

Thank you.

Hi Austintatious -

In order for our staff to take a look, can you confirm the IMDb link to the title page you are trying to remove?

Well it looks real to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq9rKv-Jzmk

It looks like you even moved these episodes to a playlist named "old episodes": https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe74OcS0TaJ9dDxJ8B4g5SqTSes6Jb_jG

The show was apparently airing on MNN since at least a couple of years too: https://www.mnn.org/search?search-site=Austintatious

so, nothing looks fake or fictitious to me.

@mbmb

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, what you linked is not the same episode as the titles are different. Indeed that is an episode but not what IMDb has listed as “ the party is just getting started “

The show itself is not fake or fictitious as this is not the problem.

The show and episodes airing on public access or being on YouTube does not negate the fact that IMDb has an incorrect/fictitious episode listed under my show name. The episode/title in question cannot be found or seen anywhere you may search as it does not exist because it's a fictitious listing I created.

It would only be real if you pasted a url of the show with the title of episode being " The party is just getting started "
