In Progress

IMDb refuses to help me with my own titles.

I own 4:19 Studios LLC and I am the sole creator of all productions under that studio. Every aspect of my shows, writing, animation, voice work, editing, music, and production, is created entirely by me without assistance from any other human or AI. Guinness World Records is currently reviewing my work to verify this.

Back in 2021, when I first created my animated sci fi dispensary comedy 4:19, I submitted the early episodes to IMDb. Those first seasons were made using older software (iClone), but I have since transitioned to Blender and completely remastered the show. The new versions are significantly higher quality in every way, and new episodes are now part of the official relaunch of 4:19.

The issue:When I tried to update the old IMDb entries and add the new pilot and revised episodes, my submissions were repeatedly rejected without meaningful explanation. I contacted IMDb support multiple times but received no helpful response.

I eventually created a new title page for 4:19 to reflect the relaunch, and the new pilot episode was accepted with no problem. However, the next two episodes are now being rejected for unclear or inconsistent reasons, or left pending indefinitely.

As the 100 percent owner and copyright holder of all 4:19 content, this situation is extremely frustrating. My studio has major plans ahead, and several producers are already following the project. I will continue creating episodes and new series, but if IMDb cannot reliably support updates to my own copyrighted work, then I will have no reason to continue using IMDb or paying for IMDbPro.

If this cannot be resolved, I will eventually need legal counsel to request full removal of my titles from IMDb entirely and discontinue the IMDbPro account for good. I would prefer to continue working with IMDb, but I need proper assistance correcting and updating my own verified content.

Thank you.

Hi Michael_F-

I understand the frustration especially given that you have taken the time and effort to contribute updates to IMDb, which we truly appreciate.

As per the declined contributions for the new title page and the episodes in order for our satff to further investigate, can you help us by providing the 18-digit submission reference numbers for these contributions?

Cheers!

#251130-103523-779000 and #251130-103822-322000 need to be added to the new page. They rejected them both, now just leave them sit pending because I kept resubmitting with what they wanted. I am 100% Copyright owner of both 4:19 pages, this is MY work.

Why can't they take the old 4:19 page down and just allow me to keep adding to this new page? They don't let me touch the old page, so why keep it? It's not accurate information. The live versions no longer have those voice actors in them and much more.

It makes no sense at all to me, it seems like IMDb does what it can to hold back indie creators.

@Michael_F- Thank you! We are reviewing this and once we have further information, we'll post it below.
