IMDB refuses to delete a credit from a film I did not appear in

I've never appeared in a film called OPEN SEASON (as "fandango participant") and IMDB refuses to delete the entry. They cannot "validate" my claim, despite asking them to contact SAG-AFTRA, or offering to help them validate a movie role they obviously didn't validate when it was initially posted. Can anyone help out? Thank you in advance.

From IMDb’s point of view, a person named ”Jesse Archer” appears in ”Open Season”, so it probably won’t be deleted. At least not without some proof of the actual end credits of ”Open Season”.

If it’s really another person with the same name, you should correct (not delete) the name to ”Archer, Jesse (II)”. This happens by going to the title page (not the name page) of ”Open Season”, Edit, Correct etc.

eboy -- THANK YOU!! That seems like the logical explanation of what happened (the nerve to think I'm the only one with my name out there!) and appreciate the easy steps to edit the credit to the appropriate Jesse Archer. All done let's hope that does the trick. Really appreciate you taking the time to help out. Kudos and Karma  :)

Hi Jesseonthebrink -

I can confirm that the credit has been moved to a separate listing for "Jesse Archer (II)".  The changes should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!
