IMDB NOT RECOGNIZING TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PRODUCERS STARRING NAME ACTORS

IMDB is being extremely difficult. We have shot six films in two years, everything gets bought and distributed - I am a legitimate producer. When I announce a project, IMDB wants additional proof - for some reason my word is not good enough. Fine, you want an URL, I give you an URL to our website - and this usually works. But now, for some reason, they continue to deny our latest title announcement of a romantic comedy, starring well-known celebrity names in the space. They keep asking for additional proof - well we don't have a distributor yet, although we have several networks and distributors who want to see it once we are out of Post. This is a simple endeavor - this movie has been shot, starring these actors, and it is in Post, and yes it is already announced on our website. What more do you want??? We do not release any BTS etc until the buyers do their PR push - so you can't have any of that.

To make matters worse - I've asked you to remove a title of a project that I, myself, was supposed to write. I'm telling you the project is canceled and needs to be removed, I never wrote it, we pulled the funding, we went a different direction. I've asked you to post a title, and to remove a title, all of which I am the de facto authority on - and somehow IMDB won't do that.

Update:

The title is denied AGAIN. Says you need a third party link or an explanation in the "explanation for missing information box". I provided a link, and there is no box for explanation of missing information - this box doesn't exist at all.

I have explained in one of the mandatory information boxes - I am the Executive Producer and the film is in Post-Production. There is no more we can do here - it's VERY strange IMDB won't announce this title as you have so simply in the past. There is a name cast, an URL with a still that shows some of the main characters, and a list of very experienced producers named for the submission. Subsequently we will add more crew, and they can add themselves, but for now this is an early announcement. Please tell me why this is so hard for IMDB to accept.

Resubmitted yet again, here is the contribution #: 220227-191557-361000

Hi aceiswho -

I just reviewed your recent re-submission and can confirm the the new title was approved and is now listed on the site

Concerning the title you have reported as being cancelled, can you post the IMDb title link here and our staff can take a look?

Cheers!

@Michelle Hi Michelle - thank you for your help! Great to see that go up. Here is the title that needs to be removed: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5692496/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

@Michelle Thank you for all of your help. It is strange that I had to post here just to get these normal things accomplished. There seems to be some kind of protocol for my account now, where adding a title is harder rather than easier. Given that all of my films are being shot, sold and distributed - can you help set up whatever governance around my account to be something a little less austere and more friendly to the easy posting of these titles? I think we can both agree that it shouldn't have been this hard to post the title (I repeated submission at least half a dozen times). Any governance or settings on my account should be more open to my additions rather than becoming more strenuous, which seems to have happened for some reason.

Hi @aceiswho -

I reviewed your account and can confirm that there are no issues preventing your submissions from being approved.  To help prevent any further declined new titles, ensure that you always include verifiable title evidence to accompany your submission.

@Michelle OK thanks for verifying that. I still find it strange - this title evidence link is all about posting an URL. We've submitted/posted plenty of titles without that evidence but if that's the new general requirement, that's fine. But - I still had the title denied numerous times after providing an URL. So something was not right there - the title was on auto-deny, it felt like. I hope this doesn't continue to happen on our next titles. Thank you.

Hi @aceiswho -

Thanks for the additional feedback.  Going forward, if you are finding that your new title submissions are continuing to be declined, despite providing valid evidence, post the 18-digit submission reference numbers here and our staff can investigate them further.

Thanks!
