IMDb makes it impossible to correct obvious gender errors
When entering a new name, IMDb defaults to male and requires the user to change to female if applicable (and doesn't offer other options when entering new names. I was trying to change the gender of an extra named Emma Sheckler who is currently listed as male. Emma is, almost certainly, female. For years, I've been able to change these obvious mistakes where the original gender wasn't actually selected but default to male. This is no longer the case. What links or other proof does IMDb believe exists for an extra in a movie? If we need to provide proof, then IMDb needs to quit defaulting to "male" and force the user to make an actual selection.
