IMDb is including movies on my actor page where the movie character shares my stage name

On my IMDb actor page (not IMDb Pro), under Related News, IMDb is linking a horror movie (that I was not in) where the main character has the same name as my stage name. How do I get IMDb to change its algorithm to not equate character names with performer stage names?

Hi @xenu007 -

Would you mind linking the news article and your name page here? So I can send a request to fix it.

Thanks!

@Bethannyhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm0857112/ Scroll down to the bottom and see the horror movie linked there under Related News, titled, "The Drifter".

@Bethanny To make matters worse, the page edit feature for Miscellaneous doesn't allow input of data into fields. I tried on three different browsers.

@xenu007 Hey! I have now reported the news article. Did you try deleting cache and cookies for the second one by any chance?

Yes, the cache was cleared and set to zero. There's still no way to flag the unrelated movie for deletion from my page. Let's hope your report gets taken seriously.

@xenu007 I am sorry I misunderstood, the news link is not something you or I can edit that's why it doesn't give you the option, that is for external links tied to your name page. I'll keep you posted on the progress on my report.

Cheers!
