IMDb has error in title of S02 E07 of Euphoria

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16988436/

This episode’s title contains an error: “The Theater and Its Double” is how it should read.

IMDb has used the contraction for “It is” (It’s) instead of the pronoun “Its.”

The error is replicated everywhere that pulls this incorrect data.

It's HBO's official title: https://www.hbo.com/schedule?focusId=818779

It could be intentional, it could be mistake (I doubt it), either way, it's not IMDb's job to fix it.

”it could be mistake (I doubt it)“

Well, both HBO and IMDb have now corrected this “doubtful” error.

@cjjenssen OK but I remember reading reviews that mentioned it was intentional. Maybe "fixing it" is the actual error here, who knows :)

The episode’s title, “The Theater and It’s Double,” boasts an intentionally misplaced apostrophe that sums up creator Sam Levinson’s tendency to inflate subtext to the size of Stonehenge slabs and shine spotlights on it.

Also you don't need to put huge images to the page every time, we can see it by visiting imdb, a link would be enough.

Well, that’s really unfortunate.

I was actually on board with the *intentional error once you pointed out that it was HBO’s official title: it’s very nuanced and makes a person (like me) really think about knee-jerk corrections.

I care about grammar and the decline standard English.

But this seems like a thought provoking subtlety consistent with the theme of the show (teens).

I came around to your point, was *surprised to see the change/(not-)correction.

Obviously, I like being “right,” and just *had to come back and say so; but I don’t care for any “correction” that negates thoughtful intention.

I like wordplay; I understand it; and I am unhappy that hyper-correction Its won out over intentional error It’s : I am sure (again and anew) that you are right, and appreciate the reference from Vulture … and, if ever I have cause to weigh in on any issue in future, I will not post giant screenshots 😂

This was my first post in this forum, and I will certainly do more research first before making another (!)
