IMDb credit issue

In your case, are you saying that both Deborah Reed (II) and Deborah Reed (VI) pages are the same person? 
In addition, are all the credits on both pages correct?

If the answers to both questions are yes, then a name merge is needed.
If only a portion of the credits are you, then revisions would need to be updated in a different manner.

Please let me know which is correct then a contributor or an IMDb employee will be able to make the corrections.

Thanks for answering so quickly!  :D  I'm not sure who Deborah Reed (Vl) is... a real person or mistake someone did.  There are only two credits on her page, both for makeup.  One credit should be mine (Dumb & Dumber) and the other is a job I did not do.  Therefore, I believe you are correct in that I can't merge the two.  Thanks for any help!  <3

BTW... While we are at it...  Could you give me an idea of how long it generally take after a bio and trivia is submitted to show up?   Thanks   : )

On the IMDb Processing Times page, the oldest item for Bio: Trivia is June 20. So if you've submitted the info after that date, the data has not been processed. If the data was submitted before that date, then the submission may have been rejected for various reasons.

On the other matter, perhaps someone with more experience can guide you on what to do next to update the credit.

Deborah: Here's how to fix this. Go to the page for Dum & Dumber at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109686/. Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Makeup Department line, select "Correct/Delete". Scroll down and click "Continue".

On the next screen, in the menu to the left of the Deborah Reed (VI) name, select "Correct". Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will see that you can edit the name. Change it so that instead of saying Reed, Deborah (VI), it says instead:
Reed, Deborah (II)

Make sure to put the roman numeral in parentheses. Check the box marked "provide an explanation to assist in processing this change".

I'm assuming that the occupation is already correct, so in the Choose menu, select the last choice, "Other (use box below)", and leave the text below it, "additional makeup artist: Utah", as is.

Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, there will be an Explanation box. In that box, enter something like "I am Deborah Reed (II), and I am the Deborah Reed who was an additional makeup artist in Utah for "Dumb & Dumber". I am a different person from the other makeup artist Deborah Reed (VI)." 

Also, you will get a warning that says, "'Reed, Deborah (II)' does not have any existing credits in this section. Are you sure this is the right person? ..." That's because this will be the first makeup credit listed on the Deborah Reed (II) page, and IMDb wants to make sure that this is the same person who is indeed working in a different occupation. Select the choice, third from the end of the list, that says, "This is the first credit in this section for 'Reed, Deborah (II)'."

Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your data should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

Allow at least a week for the correction to go through.

Thanks very much for you quick reply and help.  I did exactly as you said (which I had basically tried doing ) but did yours step by step and even copy & pasted your words.   I try every which way, but I changed on form to, Reed, Deborah (ll).  Here is what always comes back.     "This credit has been rejected. You need to correct this credit before it will be accepted. 'Reed, Deborah (lI)' contains combinations of characters which are not permitted in IMDb names."
