IMDb claims Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson had acting roles in "Leave it to Beaver" film (1997)

In the film version of "Leave it to Beaver", June and Ward Cleaver are watching the TV series "Home Improvement". However, IMDb claims that Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson were reprising their roles in the film and are uncredited actors who actually appeared in the movie. This is absolutely not true but IMDb refused my explanation and attempted deletion of these fake acting credits.

They state in their Submission Guide that

If someone appears in footage from a different title that is already listed in the database (or that should be listed), they should not have an additional cast credit added. The footage should instead be noted as a movie link.

Any idea why they repeatedly ignore their own guidelines?

I was able to delete them for you. The movie connection already existed.

@adrian I had checked the Movie Connections section first to make sure "Home Improvement" was listed there, and as you said, it was.

Unfortunately, they almost always reject any deletion I try to make even when they are given an exact (and correct!) explanation as to why the deletion is being attempted. I have been curious as to whether my account has been flagged or if they do this to most contributors.
