IMDb Categories

I know there is a growing number of individuals like myself who work as Publicists, Unit Publicists who would LOVE IT, if IMDb were to create an independent category for us versus being piled in the MISCELLANEOUS CREW option.

We spend countless many working hours (often times 12-14hr days... 7 days a week in many cases) pitching our clients and a host of other host of things to do for them,  whether they're actors, writers, producers, directors, production companies, studios and the like. It would be nice to have proper and more formal recognition than being 'one of them'

Thanks

I don't think many people who actually input the data would appreciate this too much. It's already fairly cumbersome to input data for multiple sections in a single entry and a proliferation of categories will not make it any better.

@adrian I totally respect and appreciate the countless many hours the folks at IMDb work in ensuring information on this platform is updated, true and correct. I am not the only one who has voiced this opinion and will it make it any better? Possibly not, those of us who are also longtime freelancers always get lost in the noise. I'm merely advocating for what is right, while equally acknowledging the hard and tedious work the folks at IMDb do.. Simply add a category such as Public Relations/Publicist/Unit Publicist with the usual input. Right now they've already ensured talent cannot simply attach themselves to any production they want with hope they can up their status on IMDb by having them vetted, and or providing documentation, screengrabs and such supporting their claims. I know this as I have one particular client who I have provided information for to IMDb who is currently missing two credits on his account.
