Images policy

As far as I can tell, for titles that have images but no poster, there is no way to move a non-poster image out of the primary slot, correct? This is disappointing because non-poster landscape oriented images sometimes wind up in the poster window and are tough to make out (i.e. the subjects aren't contained within the borders).

When users submit images, he or she has to choose one of the follow types:

Poster
Official poster created by the studio to promote or advertise the title
Still Frame
Single static image ("frame") taken from the actual film or show
Behind the Scenes
Photo taken during filming, containing details such as camera location
Event
Photo taken during an activity, party, or event associated with the title
Product/Box Art
Official product artwork such as DVD or Blu-ray covers
Production Art
Additional artwork such as storyboards, lobby cards, or concept art

However, users cannot assign a type to an image that existed in the database before the new image installer system was launched. Or change/affect a type once an image has been uploaded, short of deleting it and re-adding it.

If the "Select a Type" feature were made available to already installed images, wouldn't that allow users to shunt non-poster images out of the primary slot?

Yep, should also apply when you are updating a poster for TV shows as different seasons for tv shows have different posters, i think the 'use as poster' option is only limited to people who signed onto projects/titles for which they can control the choices for poster and images.
