Image resizing

I uploaded an image inside IMDB Pro for a movie poster, and it was approved. Inside the image screen the image was exactly how I created it. However, inside IMDB the titles of the movie are cut off on the size. I tried to go inside IMDB Pro to resize the image, but I couldn't find out how to do this. There doesn't seem to be an image resize option. Do I need to remove the image and then resubmit a resized image? Is there anyway to resize an image within IMDB Pro?

Hi @Jeff_1 -

You need to re-upload correctly resized and then delete the wrong one, currently this is the only option.

Cheers!

Thanks, Bethanny. Unfortunately even this does not work since the movie title is wider than the facial shot of the main subject. The algorithm was made such that it just continues to expand the facial image to cover the entire dimension of the image size which will always result in the title being cut off. The only option would be to make the titles no wider than the facial shot of the subject.

Hi @Jeff_1 -

I would also encourage you to review your image format and sizing, as per our Image FAQs:

For Film and TV posters, to minimize cropping, we recommend a vertical alignment (i.e. portrait orientation) with an aspect ratio of 1:0.675. For Podcast covers, to prevent cropping, we recommend a square (1:1) aspect ratio as is the industry standard for audio titles. We recommend always providing the highest quality image available.

I hope this helps!
