I'm surprised that IMDB doesn't have a complete listing of all movies, "The Life of Jesus' 2003 isn't even listed, why?

I searched for a title named 'They Life of Jesus", 2003, directed by Philip Saville, and was disappointed that its not even searchable. This movie is probably the best ever made on the Life of Jesus the Christ, almost the entire script is from Scripture itself and is free on TUBI as well as Youtube.  Was this an oversight or are their reasons for it being missed? Thanks

Richard: I have two comments, one general and one specific.

The general comment is that most of the titles that are listed in IMDb were submitted by users of the database, and if a title is not listed that's usually because nobody has submitted it to IMDb yet. This film would presumably be accepted if it were submitted with sufficient information to get listed; the form to submit a new title can be found starting at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates?update=title and continuing on succeeding screens.

The specific comment is that it sounds like this could be an alternate title for The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John (2003), which was directed by Philip Saville, was released in 2003, and is based directly on the gospel of John. Can you confirm whether the movie you saw is the same as the one already listed at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377992/? If so, then it's already listed in IMDb. If it's the same film but is now being shown under the title The Life of Jesus, then that should be listed as an Alternate Title (see https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377992/releaseinfo).

Hi Richard Close,

Many films have alternate titles. These alternate title generally come from the production companies and distribution companies for films. For instance, this is a link to the alternate titles for The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John (2003):
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377992/releaseinfo

For future reference, you can find alternate titles under the release information for a film if they exist. From the main page of film click MORE to expand the menu at the top of the page, then click Release Dates.
