I'm probably a fool, but program to accept correcting self credits and attribute as the same name

I'd like to suggest to imdb that you program so as to not reject fixing to prevalent issues in the data.
1) When fixing attributed "as" credits where it is the person's name can be programmed to be accepted automatically. This would prevent ignorant rejections.
2) There are tons of self credits that are on scripted, fiction shows that should be changed to the actors' name. These should be programmed to not be rejected, and in fact could be programmed to be automatically accepted.

I've had NUMEROUS declinations for these two issues (over 500 of the attribute as corrections in particular) and there is simply no reason. Without seeing what you program on, I have enough experience that I know no matter what app you're using that these could be programmed.

It's possible, perhaps likely, that the person was listed under a different name when the "(as...)" attribute was originally placed on the credit, and has since changed to that name.

But I agree that the entry of an "(as...)" attribute that matches the name should be prevented at the Check step, or at least at the acceptance step.

Based on the countless ones I did, I suspect that most are the result of merges. I can't give an explanation as to why I believe that, but I'm fairly confident.

What I'm suggesting is that when fixing the credit that it be put through. It's when I did fixes that they were rejected and should not have been.
