02/08/2022 UPDATE:
When they asked me for proof I sent them all my CV’s and other paperwork dating back to 2013(when I started in film) that showed in my 9ish years I’ve never been on that production and have no records of it. Still denied. They copy and paste the same response about not editing factual information and then close the posts or ignore email chains after that. I can’t even get an explanation as to what proof they think they have that is more factual then my whole career worth of paperwork.
Extremely frustrating, I’ve been dealing with this for months and always get the same copy and pasted response and then radio silence. They also don’t realize this is something I take seriously and won’t give up on, I will continue to contact them and post on the community site daily and until it’s fixed. They will be dealing with me daily for years until it’s resolved.
THE ISSUE
My own profile somehow got a random credit in it that I definitely never worked on. I’ve been through IMDb support to correct the issue, they asked me to provide proof I never worked on the production. I did. They still rejected my update and have recently told me there is nothing more they will do about it. I simply want an accurate profile and I don’t want to steal credit from someone else because of an uploading error from some random production. I’m not sure what else to do after being told by IMDb support “too bad, we think it’s right even with your proof to the contrary”
I really hope to have an accurate profile and will continue to contact support daily until it is resolved.

I have tried to correct this for so long, only in the last few months have I begun repeating the process daily. It was extremely frustrating to be ignored and even told I was wrong about my own life and career(with proof). You are the first person to not just provide a copy and pasted response and then close the post/ignore the email chains.
THANK YOU! After months of dealing with support daily its nice to finally have an "accurate and factual" profile as IMDB wanted in the first place.
I have checked and the update finally went through. Thank you Bethanny for being the only person to actually try and correct this issue.
