I wonder if you may have been expecting a link to your user page instead of to a name page. These are two different kinds of pages on IMDb and they wouldn't normally be associated with each other. For comparison, Marilyn Monroe has a name page (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000054/), but not a user page, because she died before there was an Internet, while I (gromit82) have a user page (http://www.imdb.com/user/ur1879600/) but no name page because I don't have any film or television credits.
Since you both use the database and have at least one credit in a film, you should have both kinds of pages. But any credits you have in film, television, etc. will be linked to your name page, not to your user page.
@gromit82 I think I need a name page and I'm not sure how to do that.
The film is Appetite for sin 2022. My name is Joshua Gagnon. I'm also supposed to be in the thanks of another film as well Clowny but I'm not sure if I am.
You will have to check the credits of Clowny to see if you get a thanks credit on that film. If you are referring to Clowny directed by Joseph Kelly, you will have to wait until the film is completed, as it's still listed in being in production now. A person can have a credit in the Thanks category listed in IMDb only if their name actually shows up in the Thanks section of the credits.
