Idea regarding cast and crew list...
I was looking for a character from the Frosty the Snowman animated movie from decades ago. I thought one of the characters was Dick Van Dyke, but it wasn't (he's not in the cast credits). The character in the movie looks like him...but I can't remember for sure what part he played. I assume it's the Narrator, but I'm not sure.
So I had an idea. For animated movies, in each credit, can you post both the pic of the person playing the role, and at least one more picture of the part the person is playing? That would make it easier to identify who played which character.

IMDb is user-contributed.
If you have image(s) from Frosty, you can post it on the title, tag it with the name, and it'll automatically add it to the character page.
Or you could tag existing images by clicking the pencil icon, and Add Names.

In other words, your idea is already implemented.
It just takes the effort of contributors to provide the images and create the links.
