I Would Like To Recover My Review (And It’s Votes)

I would like to recover this review and all of its votes to IMDb please. It was removed for no reason and I wasn’t told. I just found out when it was no longer listed under my reviews. I would just repost the review but I would lose out on the over 700 votes that it already had. 

I was extremely proud of this review and have been ashamed of IMDb for not regulating review bombers as of late. I was so excited my review was actually getting attention over reviews from users who have stated “I have not seen the film,” but are posting reviews as a way to hide the opinions of users they don’t agree with. 

I’m pretty sure my review was reported by review bombers who wanted my head for having something nice to say about a movie they disliked.

Wuthering Heights (2026)

One of the greatest romance films of all time, Wuthering Heights was a feast for the eyes and soul. With dazzling visuals, production design, costuming, hair, makeup, and music, this film shone almost as beautiful as the two lead actors, both of which gave tremendous performances.Something this film does incredibly well are its depictions of tangible passion, woeful longing, and insatiable lust. These themes are ever present throughout the film and echoed through metaphorical imagery, sound design, and intentional palette choices. The animalistic and vengeful nature mounting each new sinful action aided us, viewers', feeling of anxiety and unease as we learned through observation how impassioned behavior often held consequence.Throughout the film we are so clouded by hopeless romance that we are only reminded how pure love actually is when we are presented with depictions of the characters' younger selves. This is love. This is the invisible string that is carried throughout the film and gives intention to demoralizing action.While proving artful, literately, and skillfully sound this film, too, proved to be wildly entertaining. Subtle humor and playful banter aided by well timed editing, steamy and profusely lewd love scenes, sweet and subtle romantic gestures played out between two charming and talented actors, over the top production and costume design, and a classic sounding score with a modern overlay all worked to make this film the most enjoyable theater experience of 2026 so far.
