Solved

I tried correcting a MOVIE MISLABELED AS HORROR but was declined as IMDb is asking for further verification... How exactly?

I had just watched a movie on TUBI (which seems to use IMDb for its movie details) that was labeled as horror, but is entirely NOT a horror movie.  I tried to correct this here but was declined for being "Unable to verify."  I left an explanation as to why this isn't a horror movie, but other than making IMDb watch it for itself (or at the very least watch the trailer) I don't know how else to verify.  The movie in question is:

FATAL REUNION (2005) - a TV-14 rated Lifetime movie of the week.  It follows a wife paranoid that she is being stalked by an old crush from high school, however it turns out that [spoiler] it is actually the guy's nutty wife who is stalking her.

There are ZERO curse words, ZERO gore, ZERO nudity, ZERO monsters, ghosts, hauntings, or supernatural, ZERO jump scare attempts, and only two shots of blood at the end when a guy is shot in the shoulder, and when the nutty wife villain gets stabbed in the abdomen (the blood only creating shirt stains around the wound).  There are only 2 deaths in the whole movie and the first one is of a guy shot in the head (offscreen, no muzzle flash, just a sound effect).  No blood whatsoever, not even when he miraculously comes back to life for half a second in order to trip his nutty wife.

This is a low budget made-for-TV movie.  On Lifetime.  A thriller.  Practically PG in content.  FATAL ATTRACTION is more of a horror movie than this if you're trying to include "crazy lady with a plan" in the horror category.

So how exactly can I verify this for you so others don't get bamboozled into thinking they're watching a horror movie, but instead its just a 2005 version of the same NON-horror Lifetime movies Lifetime still makes today.

Hi @talentest -

It appears you referenced a different submission, however, I was able to locate the recent submission requesting the genre removal for your submission # 240425-025239-173000.

I can confirm that the request to remove the "Horror" genre was approved and the changes should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!
