I played Sandy in Hocus Pocus 2

Hi, my name is Sara Indish-White and I was Sandy in Hocus Pocus 2 during the scene with Tony Hale. The scene where the mayor gets his candy apple and says "thank you Sandy" I am shown smiling in the candy apple booth. This was filmed on the side of the Aldridge house in Providence Rhode Island-we had to rebuild the candy apple booth in this location. The original was filmed in Newport Rhode Island where I was also an extra ("festival goer"). In the Newport scenes a different actress with longer and slightly darker hair than mine is playing Sandy. I was asked last minute to be her photo double but they ended up using my face and not just me from the neck down like they said they would. I just think it would be cool to get some credit :-) They didn't put my name or the name of the other woman who played Sandy in the credits of the movie. For proof, I am attaching some photos. One is a photo directly from the film, other photos are in a changing tent that was in The Armory where they had the sound stage and where we got all of our covid testing, and a few photos are in the bathroom trailer, the sepia photo was in a regular trailer with a couch, one photo is in my car because we had to move our cars into a parking garage.

If the last photo is from the actual film (this is what matters the most to IMDb, rest are mainly behind-the-scenes shots that doesn’t really prove is the person actually included in the final cut of the film), you could probably add your name/credit with ”(uncredited)” attribute. You should add a link to this thread when you submit the credit. Remember: You should be included in the final cut of the film and relatively easily recognizable.

That being said, I’m not fully sure what the other actress (playing Sandy) did? Is she (also) included the final film - or did they re-shot the scene (and she’s not in it anymore)?

@eboy she is in the film but neither of us were given credit. They removed the shot where Mayor Trask was getting his candy apple with her in it / it didn't make the final cut. But my face made the final cut and the only time you see her face is from really far away when she waves. We were both Sandy. Neither of us got credit, to be clear, I'm not upset about it I'm just wondering if IMDB will add me.

@eboy I'm very easily recognizable, it says that this question is "solved" but it is not solved. I was requesting help from IMDb and this does not solve it. How do I go about adding my name in an uncredited way like you said? I've been trying to do it but it's not working. Do I need to go on a laptop instead of my phone?

Hi, Sara Indish-White. Welcome to the IMDb Community forum! You'll be wanting to pull up the IMDb title page for Hocus Pocus 2, click the "Edit page" button and then add a new item to the cast listing. Take care to include "(uncredited)" without quotation marks in the attribute field, before submitting the update. When you're done, the submission interface will inform you of the 18-digit submission reference number, which you may want to note.

@SaraEleanorIndishWhite It is much easier to edit IMDb using a laptop/desktop computer rather than a phone.

However, I don't see any existing credits for you listed in IMDb. And that could be a problem in terms of getting this uncredited role listed. See the IMDb policy at https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/i-worked-on-a-title-but-did-not-receive-a-screen-credit-can-it-be-listed-on-imdb/G3BDEA5Y4U9LP9BW (paragraph 2):

You need to have at least one pre-existing credited entry in the database. We will not display filmographies consisting exclusively of uncredited work. We may make an exception in very rare/specific circumstances (e.g. on movies released before 1990, episodes released before 2000 and/or for high-profile credits, such as an uncredited cameo appearance by a celebrity), but in most cases we will not list an uncredited credit unless you have a pre-existing credited filmography.

Once you have a credited job listed in IMDb, you can go back and submit your uncredited work such as Hocus Pocus 2 and it will be listed.

If you do have a credited job already listed in IMDb and I missed it, please disregard the above comments.

I hope this helps.

@gromit82 thank you, this was the only movie I'll ever do, I have kidney disease and I'm on dialysis. Someone wrote how I can edit it and put it in as "uncredited"

@SaraEleanorIndishWhite Sorry to hear that. There are other ways to get an IMDb-listed "credited job" besides acting in a film, though. For example, if you did an interview with an IMDb-listed podcast, you could get a valid credited role as "Self - Guest" for appearing in an episode of the podcast.

In any event, good luck!

O, yeah, that's right, indeed IMDb hides from public display all filmography items of a person whose entire body of work consists of uncredited roles. So, even if the IMDb name page is allowed to exist, it will outwardly appear to be devoid of filmography items. This "display logic" also used to apply to the submission interface, but this was changed so as to alleviate confusion about seemingly empty IMDb name pages and whether or not credited newer filmography items ought to be applied to them, while taking into account the question of homonymy,

I'm thinking you could possibly write a brief trivia entry on the movie's page since the thing with two extras playing the same role might be a fun fact.

Also, I don't know if I should recommend this, but you may be able to add the image from the movie to the title page (copyright permitting). If you submit the uncredited role as suggested earlier, you may also be able to tag your name in the image.
