I Need Clarification on Connections

I feel that they are wrong but I'd like to know if that is consistent with imdb's views on connections. If I try to delete them, the request will likely be rejected, but that's what usually happens when I try to delete rejections. It will say that I hadn't provided sufficient evidence though I don't know how to prove there ISN'T a connection. Then I'll have to post again with the reference number to see if I was right to delete them. So I'd like to know in advance if it's appropriate to delete them.

I think this Note in the Movie Connections guide covers your question: "Similarities in the plot are not considered movie links. i.e. simply because two movies feature a government official who goes rogue to seek revenge and drives a blue Chevy does not mean that one movie references the other. Please consider submitting a plot keyword instead."

That is the part of the guidelines I would cite when deleting, but the problem is that this is more than a similarity because it's not completely coincidental, but I think it's less than a reference. Some of the submissions say that it was an homage to this movie. Some of them might be though I doubt all of them are.

@JC46- If there are some that do not completely align to our guidelines just like @david_glagovsky referenced above, then you can go ahead and submit those with the respective explanation and links.
