I found 400+ fake accounts in IMDb that are rating particular video distributions' releases.
In May 14, 2020, this title: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12038280/ rated by 457 users and reviewed by 406 users. I want to say that Rating:review ratio is unbelievable.
I doubt it. How are rating and review counts very close? Then I started my investigation.
I found that Voot (the video distributor-VOD platform) opened 4000+ fake IMDb accounts (or hired someone who has or will sign up for 400+ IMDb accounts), and with 250+ accounts, they rated 10 stars (and with 150 accounts, they gave 9 and 8 stars); these titles are below (all made by Voot).
illegal: justice, out of order,
Asur: Welcome to Your Dark,
The Raikar Case,
Marzi.
I visited all users profiles who rated 10 stars; they (mostly) are IMDb members since 1 month (these accounts are open for rating VOOT originals); some users are imdb members since 1 year, 4 months (these accounts are open when released Simmba, rated Simmba and all VOOT originals); some users are imdb members since 1 year, 11 months (these accounts are open when released Veere Di Wedding, rated Veere Di Wedding and all VOOT originals); and very few users are imdb members since 2 year, 2 months. (They also rated six titles above.)
Please investigate this issue and take action.

Hello 2u841r,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We are aware that there are people who may vote for the sole purpose of trying to inflate/deflate the rating for a movie. We have several safeguards in place to automatically detect and defeat this type of ballot stuffing: even though we count and display all unaltered votes in the rating breakdown, we apply several countermeasures against all attempts to skew the rating for the weighted rating you see displayed on the site. We will review the title in question to ensure that the weighted average is displaying as intended.
For more information on our abuse detection methods, or details about IMDb ratings and weighted averages, please refer to our Ratings FAQ.
