Solved

How would my film's name be displayed after adding "Working Title" to a film in post-production?

Dear IMDB Staff and Community,

My film's status is currently in post-production. I want to state that the current title is a working title, pending the distributor's approval. I want to double check the correct way to do this:

1. 'Edit Page'

2. 'Other Data'

3. 'Alternate Titles'

4. Title: "Current Title". Country: "Country of Production". Attribute: "working title".

Would this display my film's title as: "Current Title" (working title) in the title page?

Thanks for reading.

Pablo: I thought that the attribute (working title) was to be used for titles other than the film's primary title. (See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/alternate-titles-akas/GBFBWTQG2RLMHSUR# for information about alternate titles.) That is, former titles for the movie, as opposed to the current or permanent primary title.

It sounds like you are considering changing the title of your film away from the current title, but have not actually done so yet.

Since the film always has to have some primary title, I don't think it would be necessary to designate the current title as the (working title) until you have chosen a new primary title to replace it.

Dear Gromit,

Thank you for your response! I'll discuss it internally, thanks for the input.
