How to verify edits of my own film?

Hi, I'm Matthew Schuff, a writer & director for the 2022 Scream fan film Red Right Hand. I'm trying to update our IMDB page, but some changes were declined. I do not know what information I need to provide in order for some of these to be changed. I posted a link to the movie itself (it's free on YouTube), but that didn't appear to be enough for some edits. Here are the edits I am having trouble with:

  • Wes Craven | Very Special Thanks
    • For whatever reason, it cannot verify a "special thanks" for Wes Craven. I didn't know you needed verification to thank people. The movie is dedicated to Wes. The strangest part, however, is that there was apparently no issue in verifying our special thanks credit for Kevin Williamson, so what gives?
  • Stephen Matthews (XIV), Lilia Schuff | Changing from Associate Producer to Co-Producer
    • Simply put, we mistakenly credited them as associate producers earlier on in production. They are officially credited as co-producers in the final release, we like that change to reflect on IMDb.
  • Additional Crew Deletions
    • Ana Ross | Tie-in game art
    • Matthew Schuff | Tie-in game writer
    • Matthew Schuff | Tie-in game layout
      • The "tie-in game" refers to a tabletop roleplaying game that we had initially planned to release alongside the film on December 20th, 2022. We have since delayed the release of the game, and we would like to have the credits for it removed from the IMDb page. These credits have nothing to do with the film's production and have no place on IMDb. I'm shocked that these were even approved in the first place
  • RiskyD | Additional Crew Addition
    • This refers to one of our stage assistants. RiskyD is a stage name. They do not wish to be credited under their real name, and we would like to respect that wish.
  • Trent Thomas (X) | Changing from Grip to Key Grip
    • Key Grip is a position we ended up promoting him to as time went along, again this position is stated in our film's credits. We would like to have this changed.
  • Cast/Crew Completion
    • I have no idea how to verify this other than to refer you to the movie itself.
  • Production Status | Released
    • Again, I literally linked to the movie. How is that not verifying its release?

The reference number for my latest contribution is #230203-030304-438000

For more info/verification, here's our Kickstarter, BackerKit, TMDB, and the movie itself:

If there is anything else that I need to provide in order to get these edits approved, please let me know. Thank you!

Hi @MetalreduX -

I do see the link was not attached to every item or at least every item type, not all the time editors process it all at the same time so if 1 part had the link and the other didn't the editor who take the part that didn't would think there is no evidence for the submissions. Please resubmit putting the link on every data type and you should have no problem at all. Let me know if you do.

Cheers!

@Bethanny Thank you, I'll give that a try. I'll let you know if anything still gets rejected.

@Bethanny I was able to get most of them approved, except for 2 of them. These were special thanks for Wes Craven and the Production Status. These really don't make any sense to me as to why they were declined.

The production status addition states "not enough evidence". Here is the comment I included:

The movie is released as of December 20th, 2022, and is free to stream in its entirety on YouTube at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMp7L4fj4X8 Click the link and see for yourself, not sure what else I could possibly say to further verify this.

How else am I supposed to verify its release? I linked to the movie itself. What more evidence do I need than that? I'm at my wit's end here.

The other one, Wes Craven's thank you is also strange. On one hand, I am aware that he passed away back in 2015, so maybe I can see why he can't be verified. But on the other hand... it's a thank you. A dedication. I don't really understand why I need to validate or verify a thank you.

At the end of the day, if I really can't get a thank you for Wes, it's not gonna kill me, but at the very least I would like to verify my film's release status. Is there anything else that I need to do in order to verify this?

@MetalreduX Hi Matthew. I submitted the Wes Craven credit for you and it should be now live on the site. Thanks for providing evidence above. Hopefully a staff member can solve your other issue.
