How to proceed when the same actor plays 2 different characters, but only one of them has an attribute?

Let's say an actor X plays character A and character B within the same work, but for character B he only does the voice. What is the best way to credit this actor?

Hello DuraNext This will be depending on how the person is credited in the onscreen end credits, if the person is credited as cast, you can list as cast. You can take a look at the Help articles for more detailed information: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/adding-filmography-credits/GAB5B33MBLEG73CT?ref_=helpart_nav_1#

In this case, I'm asking about a person who is listed as a cast member twice. However, one of those times they should have an attribute (like voice or archive footage). If I combine the characters and put the attribute, it will kind of count for both characters.

@DuraNext Please see the “Cast Ordering” section of https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC74FVYKKFMD for how to order such dual credits. For the attribute issue though, unfortunately the situation you describe exposes a limit in the IMDb system — we only permit one cast credit per person in the cast list of an individual title. If you provide the specific details, we can advise you of how to proceed, but generally it is best to use common sense. If adding the attribute causes unwanted side effects, then do not include it — for example, if the second credit needs “(archive footage)” then do not include it, since it would move the entire performance into that section on their name page. You do have a little flexibility since the character name field can be modified to capture the attribute of the second credit — for example “character A / Voice of character B” Hope this helps.
