How to fix "The Boys of St. Vincent" entries on imdb

Hello,

The Boys of St. Vincent is listed on imdb in two parts, both as TV Movies roughly 90 minutes each:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106473/

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0225219/

In actuality, it is a single mini-series that was broadcast in two episodes over two nights. There is more information on the Wikipedia page, along with additional sources to support this, as well as the fact that it was nominated for a slew of Gemini Awards for the original Canadian broadcast.

So, to fix this, should I simply add a new entry for the mini-series, and convert the two existing entries into episodes? Or transform the existing first entry into the main mini-series entry (since the awards and likely most of the votes and reviews are for the series as a whole), and add a new one for the first episode and convert the other one into the second episode? I don't know if I can edit title types on my own, or if that required staff input.

Please advise how to proceed.

In some ways listing it as two TV movies might make sense, but that it won awards as a series seems like a good reason to change it. It also seems important to preserve the two-episode structure (and not list it as one long TV movie as IMDb sometimes does).

I would suggest your second option, changing the first movie into a series, for the reasons you state. (It might be complicated to edit the awards later if they are attached only to an episode.)

It is possible to submit the edits in the title correction form. There are format details in the form, but I can also help confirm the formats. You may still want to wait for a reply from IMDb staff.

Thanks @Peter_pbn :)

I watched it last night, and to slightly complicate things, in the VHS release each part is on it's own tape and they're called "films", but every physical release I've found online includes both parts, it seems it's only in digital releases that you can watch/purchase each part separately.

It was also screened at at least one film festival in its entirety, which to me makes it seem it should indeed be as a single entry, with separate pages for each episode.

Since it doesn't look like IMDb will reply, perhaps you can go ahead and see if the edits are made.

The title correction for the first part would be to

"The Boys of St. Vincent" (1992)

If that change is made, you can add the keyword tv-mini-series and add an episode as you suggested. Then a title correction to the second episode in the episode format:

"The Boys of St. Vincent" (1992) {The Boys of St. Vincent: 15 Years Later (#1.2)}
