How to credit a writers' collective?

I am in the process of submitting a title, but I am not sure how to credit the writer(s). In the end credits of this show, the writers are not listed by their individual names, but simply by the name of their writers' collective (it's basically a group of guys who write comedy shows together). When submitting this title, do I just enter the name of the collective in the Name field? And do I need to fill out the Attribute field for this kind of entry and if so, with what information? Or should I still list each person individually and fill out each Attribute as "as (collective name)", even though this is not how it appears in the original end credits?

Hi Nihilistening - I've discussed this one with our name page experts and in this case unless the collective is a company then you should credit the individuals with an as attribute for the collective name.   If the collective is a company then standard company credits rules apply.

If you know the names of the writers in the collective group, you might want to submit that as a trivia item once the collective group's Name Page has been created.

I would also do it as Grayson suggested. Real name, along with ”(as collective-name)” attribute. There are always individual people behind the writing credits. Different thing with bands and musical groups. Edit: Uups. Perhaps Grayson meant the other way around..

To my understanding, a music band is the only kind of group entity that can ever have an IMDb name page about it. Everything else is either a company credit or multiple credits, whereby each credit is for an individual member of the group entity.

Thanks everyone. Just posting the reply I got from IMDb Customer Service here as well: It is best to credit the individual writer's name and then add the group name (as....) in the attribute to reflect how this credit appeared on-screen. If you don't know the name of the individual writers then best to keep them out as crew members. You can add this information to the title trivia section instead.
