How to Collect Evidence for Deleting a Credit?
I have two directing credits on my page for projects I had nothing to do with. I know in order to get them removed, I need to prove that I have no affiliation with those projects. However, the director of those projects and his company "Wiley Films" have no web presence at all, that I can find. The music videos also don't show credits, or list credits in the description.
Can I use the total omission of credits from those videos as proof that I was not affiliated with those projects? If not, how else am I supposed gather evidence to remove those credits?
The first request I submitted was declined. Reference: 220919-022823-973000
Side note: I love that the canned IMDB response of being the most "the most complete and reliable source" means crediting me as the director of a music video with millions of views, and then refusing to let me NOT take credit for it. Brilliant.

Thanks for letting us know about this mix-up.
The credits have been updated. The deletions were not approved because, as Adrian correctly guessed, the credits do belong to a different person named Wiley, so removing the credits instead of correcting them would have led to loss of data, which is why your submission was rejected.
The right action here was to move the entries to a different name, which we have now done (please allow a few hours for the change to propagate through our system and be reflected online).
I do agree that the standard response in this particular case is not clear and partly misleading -- that's an unfortunate limitation of having to process a large amount of data contributions and not always being able to respond with the best explanation of the circumstances behind a certain action.
Ideally we should craft a personalized response to every contribution and provide better guidance on how to resubmit the request, but we're not there yet.
Thanks for your understanding.

Is it possible the credits belong to another person with the same name?
The best way to completely delete them is to screen capture the entire credits for said project and show your name doesn't exist. However, it is much more common for credits to get attached to the wrong name and just need to be moved to another person.
