Solved

How to change the category of an existing credit?

I have many credits in the Color Dept., but they were previously put under either the VFX or Editorial categories. How do I change them now that the new Color Dept. category has been added?

Hi - which roles need to move to Color Department? It is just "associate digital colorist" and "consultant digital intermediate colorist" or any others? Many thanks

Hi Dylan. To be as concise as possible: From VFX, it's just the "Assoc. Finishing Artist" on Avengers: Age of Ultron". From Editorial, it's every project listed from 2015 ("Ant-Man") onward to 2023. Steven J. Scott, the Supervising Colorist/Finishing Artist for Marvel, prefered and negotiated his preferred title to the "Finishing" title. The same work, in the same facility (Technicolor Hollywood), but for a different supervising colorist was credited "Digital Colorist". We, as part of the teams, followed suit based on the project and leader. All work, even roto, was in support of final color correction/grading. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi - I've moved all the credits matching that description. It might take about an hour to take effect on your name page.

Hi Dylan. I really appreciate the assist, so I’m sorry to say that I don’t see the changes after 24 hours. Any thoughts?

Hi gray_marshall, The changes should be online soon. Also there is a link to edit specifically two of your credits left in the Editorial Dept. If they should be moved to either Color, or Visual Effects, please copy-paste a credit to a relative department, and then use the drop-downs to delete the same credit from the Editorial department. The link: https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/edit?update=nm0550902:editorial_department.correct/visual_effects_department.add.2/color_department.add.2
