How to categorize this goof? (Warning: spoiler for Quantum Leap episode Close Encounter)
I was watching the Quantum Leap episode Close Encounters and noticed a goof that doesn't seem to fit into any of the categories. I hate to just throw it into Miscellaneous.
The leap takes place in 1949 and involves a single car crash which results in the death of the passenger. There is a newspaper headline that shows the driver is found guilty of manslaughter. This newspaper, viewed from the future, would take place after the episode's event. However, the newspaper is dated Sunday August 18, 1940.
I put this in as continuity. I'm not sure it really fits.

Hi @adrian -
Looking at our Goof definitions, I would categorize this as a Continuity goof, due to the mistaken inconsistency in the dates.
I hope this helps!
