How oes one get an inaccurate and likely malicious "goof" removed from the list of goofs?

I was just looking over the "trivia" and "goofs" sections of a family-friendly classic movie and came across a sexually-inappropriate (for that movie)--and false--claim of a goof. I submitted another "goof", labelled NOT FOR PUBLISHING, to point out the spurious goof and ask that it be removed, but all that happened was that my own "submission" was rejected as not meeting the Guidelines. Do human beings read those submissions? If not, how does one flag a "goof" that is both inappropriate and not even true, to get it removed?

You should find that particular goof on the Edit screen, and either Correct or Delete it.

Thank you both.  I did not realize that I had the ability to edit somebody else's submission, but I went in and figured out how to do just that. I will wait and see whether it changes.

You're welcome!

Did you include an explanation?

Yes I did.

In addition to the excellent advice @bderoes gave, including a very clear, objective, factual explanation will go a long way toward getting your deletion request approved.

On a slightly different topic, I once tried to get the heading of the main page of a show corrected. The show is "Pearl" (1978) and the heading said it was about the events of "December 6, 1941." Of course Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, not 6, but I was unable to find a way to get that fixed. I notice that as of today it finally has been fixed, but what is the proper way to contact the site Admins to alert them to something wrong with the main page?

You have to Edit that particular item.

Sounds like you're talking about the Plot Outline.

No, it's the blurb at the very top of the page:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077059/?ref_=tt_mv_close

I can't seem to find anything to click on to edit it.

The "blurb" at the top of the page, namely this?

The lives of several personnel and residents at and around the Pearl Harbor naval base are changed forever on December 7, 1941.

That is the Plot Outline.

You can either click the Edit Page button on the bottom of the page, and find Plot Outline, or you can scroll to the Storyline section, and click the little Edit link there, and still select Plot Outline.

Ah, I see now. I've learned a lot today. Thank you very much!
