Solved

How is an actor referenced, whose short film is added to an anthology?

A feature film in the form of an anthology, is including different short films, already existing on Imdb. How should the actors, screenwriters .... of the different shorts be referenced? Actor, director, archive images? Thank you

Hi @Isableue -

The proper formatting for these types of credits is to include a credit attribute with the following:  (segment: "Title")

A good example is to look at the credits listed for the film "Paris, Je T'aime (2006)".  In this film actor Steve Buscemi played the role of "Le tourist" on the short film segment titled "Tuileries", so his credit would be added with the character name: Le touriste, and the credit attribute: (segment: "Tuileries").

I hope this helps!

@Michelle

Hello.

Thanks for your reply. This is an interesting proposition, however the different "segments" are referenced shorts, having an existence, so to speak, by themselves.

For the film you mention, the different segments only exist in this film.

In fact, the creator of this anthology or collection created new profiles for each of the actors and directors of the short films. This is weird

@Isableue

So the cast/crew has already been credited on the original short?

@bderoes Yes.

This is my concern. Is it normal to be credited twice? Once in the original short, and once in the anthology film?

Hello Isablue,

If the credits show in both of the on screen end credits, they must be added to both title pages.
