How does one get IMDB credit without revealing their Real Name?
Given how strenuous it is to submit verified credits to IMDB, I'm trying to understand how a Youtube personality can get their show listed, without having to identify themselves.
You even require members to use their real names to create a user account.
So I'm trying to understand the consistency of your policies. Why doesn't IMDB put the same onus on this guy Doomcock to verify his actual identity, instead of using an alias, as you do every other broadcaster or creative posting their credits here on IMDB? Shouldn't your editors be vetting everyone equally that you require their actual identities?
Doesn't this go against your policies?

P.S. I can at least help with his first name. It's been reported as "Gil".

So if I understand correctly:
1. Whoever "Doomcock" really is, all he or someone else had to do to add credits here was register an account under their real names, and then:
2. Go to town listing credits for the "OverlordDVD" Youtube show without having to identify who is behind the bedpan mask to avoid accountability for the phony entertainment news regularly posted, most of which is outright defamatory by adding the credits using the sock puppet name to grift YouTube monetization.
Somehow I don't feel better knowing how easy it is for someone to use the IMDB platform to elevate a content producer like "Doomcock" (aka "The Kommandant") so he can spew disinformation and white nationalism without any accountability attached.
For a platform that is so hyper vigilant about authentic the credit data being verified, this still seems pretty outrageous.

Hi jerry_vasilatos -
In general, if the individual is credited on-screen with an alias name, we will record the credit as per the name that is shown on-screen. This applies whether the individual is identifiable or not.
If the individual is not performing a role as themselves, but is rather performing as a character, then the credit should not be listed as a "Self" credit, but should be a character credit.
As long as the titles/episodes are eligible to be listed on the site and the credits are accurately depicting the on-screen credit roll, we will display the credits as per our guidelines.

Hi @jerry_vasilatos -
My sincere apologies for the delayed response. Following up on your most recent questions, if the performance is a "character" performance, then you are welcome to submit the applicable credit corrections, changing them from Self to Actor. So instead of being listed as "Self - Doomcock" the character field can be corrected with to the character name "Doomcock".
I hope this helps!
