How does IMDb verify new additions for actor's cast sections?

Asking because I've spotted an error, a completely made-up addition that has 0 verification/proof/evidence whatsoever, and it doesn't appear in any other credible or non-credible source on the Internet. But my attempt to remove it was deemed "unable to verify". The thing is, how do I prove that something doesn't exist? They should've checked its existence before adding it in the first place, and now that I attempt to remove it, I'm apparently supposed to verify it somehow. Referring to the actress page https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3834378/ who apparently participated in Squid Game as "Ran Tachibana". There is no such character in the show, and there could not have been since it's a Japanese name and a Korean show. The actress has another project, where the character is named the same way, so it might have been copied thoughtlessly. However, removing it apparently requires some verification, which makes 0 sense to me in this context.
