How do you remove a credit if I did extra work?

How do you remove a credit if I did extra work, I was young and stupid & was excited than, & added the credits but now I am trying to remove the credits because 1) I have no lines 2) I was cut out and 3) it was extra work and it being on my IMDB could potemtial effect me. So now that I want to remove it IMDB will NOT remove. They state I have to follow guidelines after explaining to them to kindly remove the credits. What do I need to do to remove those credits in this big encyclopedia. They keep denying me and it frustrating

I am trying for months to remove a credit that I did not get credit for. Not only am I not in the movie but I was an extra.

I am sick and tired of the usual response "Your contribution has been declined. We have been unable to verify your contribution. Unfortunately we were unable to accept your submission as we were unable to verify the information provided. Please see our Help Site for further information or details on how to contact us." Maybe if they had a chat or a phone # I could get direct help instead of banging my head against the wall trying to remove uncredited credits off my page, that I should have NEVER added. I was young and stupid then. Please help me get this resolved because it is extremely fustrating, its my page and I should be able to remove work that I was NOT credited for.

Hi mlekkas -

Generally, if you performed the role as an uncredited background actor, as per our policy we will need to retain that information on the site.  However, if your uncredited role does not meet our guidelines (ie. you are not identifiable and are not featured on-screen in the final released cut of the title), then this would warrant a removal as the credit is ineligible.

You mentioned above that you were "cut out", if this is the case and you were not featured on-screen, I encourage you to re-submit the credit removal request, including this detailed information within the "Explanation" field of the submission to provide further context for our editors.

Once you re-submit the credit update, our editors will take another look.

Cheers!
