How do I submit a correction for the year a film was released?

I've spotted an error in the year next to a film title in IMDb.  It was a documentary I worked on, which we finished in 2018, but it's listed as 2012.  And it has release dates listed all the way back to 2010, so obviously something has gone wrong.

How do I report this?

Peter: The year next to the film title is supposed to be the earliest year for which the film has a release date. However, the year after the title is not necessarily updated at the same time the release date is updated; sometimes you have to wait for IMDb to get around to correcting the year after the title.

Please submit deletions for any listed release dates which are completely untrue.

(I have to emphasize "completely untrue" because I have seen too many examples on this and other IMDb message boards of filmmakers who wanted to delete release dates of film festival screenings, because those dates made their films look too old. So please keep any actual release dates for this film listed, including film festival screenings if applicable. A film festival screening does count as a release date for IMDb purposes.)

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks @gromit82

There are release dates listed that are 8 years before we even started the edit, so I think that counts are "completely untrue".  :-)

I'll go in and delete the incorrect dates.  Fingers crossed!
