How do I change a TV Series in development to a Film in development?

The TV series I am producing is now going to be a Film instead of a series but I'm having trouble changing the listing. We do have episode 1.1 listed currently but obviously that needs to be removed and all the cast and crew credits need to transfer to a film listing instead. When I click on Title Correction under Edit page it does show how to change a TV series to a film but it says "episodes must be removed first". When I click on that link it does not explain how to do it. Please help.

Hi mattweinglass -

Ideally, the best way to correct a title type is through a Title Correction, wherein you modify the title with the correct formatting, for example. a film title is formatted: Title (year), a TV-Series is formatted: "Title" (Year).

If you encounter any issues let us know the IMDb page link and I can help sort it out for you.

Cheers!

Michelle, I'm having a very hard time changing our episodic sitcom into a feature film movie. It keeps giving me the red color error. Also the "title" has an older year, so trying to change the title and type from "Wannabe A Star (2021)" to "Wannabe A Star" set to complete in 2023.

@dmf Title has 2021 year because the only listed episode has a 1 July 2021 release date. Is that release date correct? If not, title year would change after changing the release date.

Regarding title type change, in these cases I first convert the episode into a standalone title and then merge the series title to that standalone title page converted from episode, so no data from the episode gets lost.

I don't know if there's an easier way, staff may help. You may want to start a new thread instead.

Edit: Was this release in 2021 only one episode? https://www.facebook.com/genaheelz/videos/watch-a-faith-based-comedy-sitcom-wannabe-a-star-brought-to-you-by-mike-foxlocat/513029969838444

Thanks. Still havent' heard from staff as of yet. But it was scripted and shot as sitcom episodic, but because it seems impossible to get funding for the pilot, we're converting into a feature film. I went ahead and updated the "release date" but I'm wondering if I should make a brand new listing from scratch.

Wow, really! :) That's awesome!! I can't wait to see it. I'm hoping we're talking the same one/ones lol
Wannabe A Star feature and Wannabe A Star TV Series/episodic

That would be so wonderful - and helpful! :)
Thank you!
