How can someone post a necessary edit if not a Pro member?

If a movie has already been released, but that's not showing up on their page, how is that edit/correction made?

Any user can submit edits to IMDb. An exception is in-development titles.

It is not clear from your post what exactly needs editing.

You nailed it lol.... in-development titles, that can not be rated or reviewed, but are playing in theatres/streaming services already. Seems no one can edit that the movie is now playing etc.

I could probably edit it if you point me to the title.

Is the title in question actually in-development or is it in-production? IIRC anyone can add basic data including a release date once the production status gets beyond a certain point but not ratings or reviews until the release date.

If the title is actually being shown in public but is still listed with a very early production status then somebody has submitted it much too early and then failed to follow up.

Can you be sure that the title being shown in public is actually the same one as the one only pro subscribers can edit. I would not wish to create extra work for anyone but perhaps the title actually being shown could be submitted as a new title with supporting link to listings or streaming site and a release date.
