How can I remove or correct a credit

I accidentally entered the wrong title for my role on a TV show... how can I remove it or change it?

Myko: To help us give you specific instructions, please post here who you are, what TV show you are dealing with, and what needs to be corrected -- all the details. That will enable the contributors or staff to advise you better.

Hi Gromit, I'm Mike in this list but I worked on this show...  Neither of these titles exist in the list when I go to try remove the credit... so I must be doing something wrong.

Mike: These are credits for a TV series, so they need to be edited on an episode by episode basis, rather than at series level. As I explain below, you can actually do that starting from your name page.

I looked at the listing for "Transformers: Earthspark" on your name page (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2621139/), clicked on "26 episodes", and found that while IMDb lists you as "Lead Technical Animator" for all 26 episodes where you are credited, for episodes 1.19 through 1.26 you are also listed as "Technical Animation Supervisor".

Here is how I recommend fixing this. Go to your name page at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2621139/. Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Animation Department member Credits line, select "Correct/Delete". Scroll down and click "Continue".

On the next screen, you will see all your Animation Department credits. Look for the "Transformers: Earthspark" episodes where you have both Lead Technical Animator and Technical Animation Supervisor credits (on separate lines). Select "Delete" in the menu to the left of each Technical Animation Supervisor credit. Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will be required to provide an explanation for each of the eight deletions you are making. For each deletion, enter something like this: "I am Mike Cassidy (II), and I worked in the Animation Department for this episode, but only as a Lead Technical Animator, for which I am already credited on IMDb. I did not work as a Technical Animation Supervisor on this episode. This credit is inaccurate and should be deleted. However, my existing credit as a Lead Technical Animator on this episode is correct." If you have any evidence, like a screen shot from the episode credits showing someone else being credited as the Technical Animation Supervisor, provide a link to that in your explanation, too. Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your data should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

Allow a few days for the correction to go through. Good luck!
