My father Harry Griggs (1925-2004) was a reporter and then TV producer for NBC Nightly News from 1963-1993, He worked with David Brinkley and Chet Huntley in Washington, DC.
The IMDb is fairly awful when it comes to coverage of television news programs, especially on the production side. I did find some Emmy nominations for your father's work so at least was able to get an IMDb page created for him - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11771988/.

Hi Peter - You can use the "edit" button on your father's page to submit additional information about him. When you submit the date of death if you can include a link in the explanation field to a reliable online site (i.e. not Wikipedia) that makes it more likely to be accepted. I don't mean to imply that you're not a reliable source - only that the IMDb likes documentation for dates of death.
