Golden Globes not in awards' previews anymore?

Hello,

I just noticed that the Golden Globes don't show in the awards' preview (for actors or movies that didn't get Oscar nominations) and if a show got Golden Globes wins, the Emmy Awards will be highlighted instead.

Has that anything to do with the recent polemics?

Should we consider the Golden Globes 'awarda non grata' by now?

Just curious.

Hi ElMaruecan82 -

Can you clarify specifically where on the site you are referring to with regard to the 'awards preview'?

I saw this pointed out on Twitter as well.

ElMaruecan is referring to the highlighted award section in title and name pages. They used to specify Golden Globe wins or nominations for some titles and people, and now they don't.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0125664/

(design depends on device/browser etc.)

In some cases this means that the Emmys are now referenced instead:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000120/

(this actually addresses a complaint that I had seen before: that the Globes should not be considered more important than the Emmys)

The change also extends to the order of the awards on award pages, where the Globes used to be listed near the top, but are now listed alphabetically.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0125664/awards

In the iPhone app I see an inconsistency: the Globes are still listed at the top of the awards page, not alphabetically.
