Getting repeated rejection to remove a credit

Two credits are listed against Charlie McGonagle https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5464945/, but only one is valid. I have raised below but both have been rejected:

https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=201013-160402-827000

https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=201003-092219-534000

ReasonUnable to verify.

and I am not provided any method to provide evidence.

The credit in question https://contribute.imdb.com/title/tt2605962/ was produced in 2010, yet Charlie McGonagle had not yet been born. As evidence, below is an appearance in Cursed https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8210856/?ref_=nm_knf_i1 as "Peasant Boy" in 2020, where he was aged only 9:

and below is his credit:

Is there any way that this information can be appended to a Contribution to allow the Credit Deletion to be reconsidered, as I appear to have reached a dead-end via the Contributor user interface?

Hi mcgonaglepaul -

I have now split the credits, as they likely belong to two separate individual's with the same name.

The change should be live on the site shortly and the "Cursed" credit has been moved to a new listing under "Charlie McGonagle (II)" here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11993670/

Cheers!

Hi, Melissa M. Montgomery. Welcome to the IMDb Community forum! Didn't you read the whole thread? No? Well, that's alright. I would like to kindly direct your attention to my earlier response (5f8c322a35f40c45ff575a55) to McGonagle Paul, the creator of this thread. Your continued feedback shall be greatly appreciated, but you should create a separate thread about the supposed miscredit (possible homonym) affecting the IMDb name page about you.

Thank you for your reply- I do not have time to read threads.

Hi, McGonagle Paul. Welcome to the IMDb Community forum! Your supplying of some evidence in regards to this matter, an apparent case of homonymy, is much appreciated. Thank you. For detailed instructions on how to properly reassign the unidentified credits in question, please see the IMDb Help article "Contribution: How can I move credits to another page?". If you've already done this, then an IMDb employee will be happy to push the correction, otherwise please give it a shot. Your continued feedback shall be appreciated.

IMDB lacks clear concise instructions. No one has time to read all these threads- the instructions should be on the page. No one wants to read help articles.

How can I submit additional verification for a credit submission?

When a submitted filmography update doesn't show up within the normal time-frame, this usually means that we have not been able to verify it; in this situation, the best way to ensure that it is accepted is to supply additional support ... Read more.

Submitting evidence

  1. Upload these screen-grabs of your evidence on the Web where we can access it and make a note of the links/URLs pointing to it. The information must be publicly accessible on the web, so do not upload anything you are not comfortable sharing

  2. Find your original submission in your update history at Update History

  3. Verify that all the data is still valid. If you need to update/amend the information, you can do so now.

  4. While re-submitting the information, select the option "Provide an explanation to assist in processing this submission"

  5. Input the URL's for your evidence, providing as much information as possible.

  6. Submit the form.
