Getting an episode deletion accepted
All of the Points of View episodes are on the system from when they were scheduled to be, taken from BBC Genome.
However, as a "filler" show, occasionally it was pulled at the last minute.
I put in a deletion request for Episode 25.1: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16437678
The reason why I realised this one didn't go out is that there's an episode on YouTube, referring to programmes that aired after this date, where the presenter starts the show by making an arch reference to it being the "back for the first time in '92": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyGWfmtylV8 (Please disregard the uploader's stated date, there wasn't even an episode scheduled for that date)
She ends the edition by saying that the following week the show will be off air for a party political broadcast, which was indeed scheduled as a replacement for the 29th: https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/46e8775c6362466fb143af7adc2b6626
So I could be 100% SURE, I asked someone from the BBC if they could provide the details for a Points of View episode that aired on the 15th. They confirmed that there was no record of one.
I sent this through and got the standard "We don't alter factual information from our records" response...
