Genres - add category "Award show" ?

You're absolutely right.
Unfortunately, for over five years (closer to ten perhaps) five genres (Soap Opera, Experimentel, Erotica, Life-Style and Awards Show if I'm not mistaken) have been talked about, defined and, IIRC, at one point even listed in the guides already, but they still haven't been added to the database.

Kristin: Thanks for your support on this. I have been involved for a while in the campaign to get the new genres implemented, including Awards-Show. There is another thread about this at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/implementation_of_new_genres which deals with the same issue and is easier to follow.
